Hey y’all!

The fabspiration of the week is The Chinese Collar.

Bringing the beauty, poise and elegance of the far east to you, this week’s DIY is bound to be grandeur draped across your collar bone. The Chinese Collar or the Mandarin Collar is an intricate, stand-up collar style that originated from garbs worn by the Mandarins in Imperial China.

In the contemporary fashion setting, mandarin collars are found in fashion-forward oriental-style and minimalist-style clothing, with oriental elements like the silk knots that are used as closures instead of buttons.

This style has an incredible fashion history, and is iconic of the Far East fashion. And I bring this iconic element this week, into my database of easy fashion DIYs.

Stay tuned to see the twist I bring to you from this fabspiration, tomorrow.

Till then, live fashionably!
